Dr. Portalupi and his staff have a strong commitment to give back to the community that is so kind as to allow us to treat its orthodontic needs. Below are some of the community service contributions we make every year:
- Pro Bono Work - every year we treat a handful of kids free of charge who would not otherwise receive orthodontic care. It gives us great satisfaction to see what an impact we can make in their lives and we are humbly grateful that we have the opportunity to serve the community in this way.
- Sports Mouth Guards - we sponsor clinics every year to fabricate mouth guards to protect kids teeth from injury while playing sports
- Water Bottles - donation of water bottles to soccer and baseball leagues
- Sponsorship of Youth Sports Teams
- Donation to Support Safe and Sober Grad Nights at Pioneer, Woodland, Esparto, and Winters High Schools
- Holy Rosary Fantasy Night Fund Raiser
- Toys for Tots
- FFA and 4H Livestock Auctions
- Special "Teacher Survival Kits" of supplies for local Elementary Schools
- School Dental Health Screenings
- Shadow Day for students
- Office Tours for school field trips
- Classroom visits for dental health at schools
- Patient Walkathon and Swimathon fund raisers
- Boy Scouts
- School Yearbooks
- Woodland Relay for Life
- Actively supporting our local High Schools, including, Woodland High, Pioneer High, Esparto High, and Woodland Christian
- Showing our support for our High Schools Football teams by donating goodies for games, and attending games as well
- We also show our support for the Arts. We love to see our patients showing off their skills with theatre and music!!
