When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. The retention phase lasts for a minimum of 24 months. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to remove your retainers, and to keep them clean as instructed. Your treatment includes one set of retainers, so please take care of them. They are expensive to replace! Dr. Portalupi will decide on the retainer type that he feels would be best for you. If you have a preference, please let him know, and he can take that into consideration when deciding on your retainers.
